PRACTICE INFO
Telehealth Psychology in Australia
Telehealth sessions sit at the threshold between being in the room and being in your own space. Sessions are held by secure video using Zoom. You’ll receive a unique link before each appointment; no account or software purchase is needed. Telehealth sessions run for the same length as in‑person appointments and the fee is the same.

TELEHEALTH SETUP
What You Need for Telehealth Psychology in Australia
- To use telehealth comfortably, you’ll need:
• A reliable internet connection (broadband or strong 4G/5G).
• A computer, tablet or smartphone with a working camera and microphone.
• A private space where you won’t be overheard or interrupted.
• Headphones or earbuds, to protect your privacy and improve sound.
If any of these are hard to arrange, please mention it when you Enquire About Sessions so we can look at options together.
PRIVACY
Telehealth sessions are conducted through secure, encrypted video. I take the same confidentiality obligations into a video call as into a room, and I work from a private space. Sessions are not recorded by either of us. Please don’t record or screenshot sessions.

If the connection drops
Interruptions happen. If the connection drops, please try to re‑join the link straight away. If we can’t reconnect within a few minutes, I’ll call you on the number you’ve provided so we can either continue by phone or reschedule the remaining time.
If your internet is often unstable, we can talk in advance about whether telehealth is workable for you right now.
Medicare and telehealth
Medicare rebates are generally available for telehealth psychological services when you have an eligible Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your GP.
When telehealth may not be suitable
Telehealth is not the right fit for every person or every stage of work. It may not be suitable if you don’t have reliable private space, if you are experiencing significant risk or acute crisis, or if the work would clearly be better served in person.
If telehealth doesn’t look safe or workable for you, I will say so, and we’ll look at alternatives together rather than trying to force a format that doesn’t fit.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not an emergency service. I cannot provide urgent or crisis support between sessions.
If you are in immediate danger, please call 000. If you need support between sessions, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14, and other crisis services are listed in the footer of this site.
Where I can see clients
Telehealth is available to clients located anywhere in Australia. I am not able to provide psychological services to people who are outside Australia at the time of the session.
If you’re unsure whether your location or circumstances are suitable for telehealth, you’re welcome to Enquire About Sessions and we can evaluate that together.
